Help us Build our Cabin in New Mexico!
Before we get into our registry, we'd like to acknowledge that a lot of you are travelling to our home to celebrate our wedding, and we're thrilled to have so many of our friends and family members here to meet each other!! Your presence at our wedding means the world to us and we are super excited to see you all. We know the cost of travelling for an out-of-town (and for many of you out-of-country) wedding is substantial already!! Your presence is the best gift you could give us, so please only bring yourselves and your dancing shoes on April 4th!
We've received a few inquiries about wedding gifts, and we had to think about it for a while before we came up with something we felt fit us best. We've lived together for a year now and have mostly furnished our house with things from our combined households, and as such, didn't want to register for the typical blenders and whisks - because we have them already!
With encouragement from both sets of our parents, we divulged that we've been saving for a cabin in Timberon, New Mexico, for a while now. With this goal in mind, we decided to try something a little different for our registry. Building a cabin takes hard work, sweat, love, and yup, money. We'd like to give y'all the option of gifting to us part of the cabin we've been saving for through the options below. We've included building supplies, the cabin kit cost, and decorations and furnishings to try and provide you all with an idea of what we're going for and to give y'all lots of options!
The Add to Cart button allows you to "purchase" part of our cabin through PayPal. You can add multiples of the same material or furnishing or continue shopping to add different materials or furnishings. Please use the friends and family option when making purchases so you're not charged a fee.
As we build our cabin, we'll be updating this website with the progress we are making so you can watch it all happen! We would love to have you all visit when we finish so you can walk on the floors you helped pay for, enjoy the fireplace that you chipped in on, and share a dinner at the table you contributed to!
Thank you all very much!
Interior Finish Work
We know we said cabin, but we'd like to smell good when y'all come and visit so we're also doing indoor plumbing!! Walk all over us and contribute to flooring, or help pretty our cabin up with some paint (suggestions welcomed!).
This helps with all things interior: walls, cabinets, flooring, trim, stairs, toilets, tubs, sinks, paint, etc.!!

Decorations and Furnishings
We love pottery!! Our mountain cabin will be home to many handcrafted treasures, and we hope to decorate in true cabin style. We've included a few links below where you can order specific pieces, if you'd rather gift something tangible.

There are lots of choices for mugs, plates, bowls, etc.! We're all klutzy enough without added help, so we do prefer round mugs. ☺ We have Mara mugs at home (two Kokopeli and two Desert Turtle) if you're looking for inspiration!

We've discovered Costco. We're thankfully both bargain shoppers, and love the chase of a great deal and the clearance bin! You can probably bet that we're going to get a bunch of our larger items from Craigslist, Costco, or by scouring sale ads and flyers.
We're an immediate family of four, plus one long-legged furry child that takes up a whole leg of a sectional couch, so it's likely we're going to start with a big sectional couch as our first furniture purchase! Here's an example (from Costco, coincidentally) of what we're imagining in our Great Room in our cabin!
